JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently recruiting for a Construction Engineer (Piping / Mechanical) with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry to join our team in Atyrau, Kazakhstan (for KZ passport holders).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures Construction Contractor and project compliance with RoK Industrial Safety regulations on the jobsite
• Have current certification on all training required to perform construction work onsite
• Conduct pre-mobilization meeting with Construction Contractor
• Main interface point and main point of contact for Operations, HES, and Plant Interface Coordinator on the jobsite
• Main interface point for QA/QC, Reliability, and Inspection on the jobsite
• Ensures that all inspections are planned and carried out in a timely manner
• Ensures that Punch List is written, and all items completed prior to Commissioning phase of work
• Ensures that red line drawings are completed
• During project execution work onsite, responsible to progress project goals by coordination with construction contractor and Project Engineer
• Work closely with Construction Contractor management and Project Engineer to follow approved baseline work schedule and achieve project goals
• Follow all applicable TCO, RoK, and industry standard rules and regulations governing the scope of work being executed and the workforce doing the execution
• Conduct weekly construction update meeting, including previous week progress and next week plan, with construction contractor
• Coordinate initial draft and engineering contractor response to all SEQ and ITC forms
• Review all material requests from contractor to ensure material descriptions and quantities are correct for the next planned phase of work
• Coordination, tracking and participation in all A check sheets.
• Issuing construction ITC, reviewing contractor submitted CWE and assisting the Contracts team in any negotiations
• Issuing, tracking and expediting construction MRs and SEQs
• Site supervision of high-risk activities including module assembly, lifting, transportation, electrical cable pulling and substation building fit out

QUALIFICATIONS

• Higher (technical) education
• Work experience in the respective position
• Must have Tengiz site experience
