This role will be on site at the Corteva location.
What You'll Do:
- Contribute to the Facilities Maintenance team by performing building corrective, predictive, and preventative maintenance through general troubleshooting, repairs, and projects to control/maintain the environment and working conditions for employees and to control/maintain laboratory conditions required for company research activities.
- Interface with stakeholders, team members, and contractors to coordinate projects and repairs.
- Prioritize and organize HVAC team's work schedule by utilizing CMMS system reports and work orders. Maintain accuracy, neatness, code requirements and ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner.
- Work with shop purchasing coordinator to order necessary materials and supplies.
- Keep detailed records about equipment and refrigeration use.
- Coordinate with the supervisor when decision-making questions are needed for job completion.
- Mentor and train maintenance technicians.
- Value our colleagues and stakeholders and understand operations must be supported for optimal uptime.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma/GED.
What Skills You Need:
- 5-10 years of trade experience/education in HVAC and refrigeration.
- Knowledgeable of 110-volt, 220-volt systems, single phase and 3-phase electricity.
- Experience and proven abilities in using computer systems and programs including (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Able to work both independently and in a team setting with limited supervision.
- Valid US driver's license.
- Willing and able to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Solutions focused and experienced in problem solving and troubleshooting of equipment and systems.
- Willing and able to work a primarily Monday through Friday daytime schedule with some after-hour facilities systems shutdown work.
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Experience with large facility and light industrial systems.
- Extensive knowledge of Controlled Environmental (Convirons) systems.
- Experience with R&D, GLP protocol, and laboratory settings.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems and electrical controls.
- Experience with emerging refrigerants.
