ABB, as a world leading technology provider in the electrification and automation business areas, is contributing to this transition with our cutting-edge technology, products, and solutions. Our customers demand secure remote access to unmanned plants. They also require data gathering and streaming to cloud-based data lakes, thereby enabling high-value services provided by ABB. Examples of such services are applications and dashboards showing equipment and system performance and health condition monitoring, alarm & safety system lifecycle management. Also, ABB expert services are offered, such as equipment reliability, and process control improvement services. The Technical Advisory department in ABB Energy Industries is strengthening the sales support team for digital solutions & services, and we would like to have you on board. Job summary: As a key technical resource, you would support the Front-End Sales throughout the exciting proposal process. You would be responsible for the technical bid during the whole sales phase, such as finding the most suitable and cost-efficient technical solution to meet customer requirements, preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology, and actively participating in customer communication. Also, you would be expected to suggest new solutions that ABB would need to develop to our product and R&D teams, as needed. You would also be encouraged to join training and industry networks and participate in ongoing improvement programs.

Qualifications for the role

  • M.Sc. Engineering degree within the relevant disciplines (IT system technologies, Electrical, Mechanical, Cybernetics, Automation, Chemical, etc.)
  • Experience within maintenance of electrical, mechanical, IT & network equipment, and/or field devices would be useful
  • Knowledge of Linux and Kubernetes technologies would also be useful
  • Experienced candidates will be considered if the formal education is not according to the requirement above
  • Minimum 5-year relevant experience either in project or in sales environment
  • Newly educated or young professionals are also encouraged to apply, submit your school transcripts and thesis paper together with the application

  • Great interests in digital technologies, products and solutions that can be applied in combination with ABB's offerings within electrical, automation and telecommunication disciplines applied across all industries: Offshore Wind, Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage, Power to X, as well as the Hydrogen segments, and Oil & Gas
  • Creativity and an open mind when searching for solutions, and can combine theoretical knowledge and practical skills
  • A structured approach and coordination skills, including an interest in workflow efficiency
  • Client focus, and excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and a good sense of humor, a team player
