As a Facilities Engineer here at Honeywell, you will have the crucial role of overseeing and optimizing the maintenance and engineering of our facilities. You will provide technical expertise to ensure the operation produces products that meet all quality, cost, and efficiency requirements. Your responsibilities will include developing long-term strategies for facilities maintenance and engineering, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and implementing energy-saving practices. You will report directly to our Facilities Manager and work in our designated Chandler location. Occasional travel may be required.

In this role, you will have a direct impact on our building systems, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will directly impact the success of our business by ensuring that our facilities and equipment are operating at their best.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement long-term strategies for facilities maintenance and engineering
  • Participate in budget planning and manage allocated funds for maintenance and engineering activities
  • Oversee the lifecycle management of facility assets, including equipment, infrastructure, and systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and engineering services
  • Implement energy-saving practices and sustainable initiatives
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality assessments
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to understand facility needs
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to manage the design, maintenance, and optimization of infrastructure and systems within the facilities.
  • Monitor the condition and functionality of facility assets, coordinating repairs, replacements, or upgrades as needed.
  • Transitioning project specifications into operating space including coordinating new operation and maintenance requirements with the coordination of the Facility Manager
  • Function as Project Manager supporting cost, schedule and status of project deliverables and performance, with proper communication and professionalism.
  • Track and mitigate risks identified by stakeholders.
  • Support proposals and baseline control; attend all on site and virtual meetings.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to resolve complex and unforeseen problems, internal and external.
  • Manage our EBI building automated system and our CMMS maintenance software.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

U.S. citizenship is required due to contractual requirements. Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of security processing

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in facilities maintenance engineering
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and equipment
  • Experience with budget management
  • U.S. Citizenship to obtain and maintain government security clearance.
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems and CMMS management.
