As Senior Director, Mergers & Acquisitions at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will play a crucial role in driving Solstice's growth through strategic mergers and acquisitions. You will be responsible for leading in the identification of potential acquisition targets, conducting due diligence, negotiating deals, and integrating acquired companies into Solstice's operations. Your expertise in mergers and acquisitions, strong analytical skills, and ability to navigate complex business environments will be essential in achieving success in this role.
You will work out of our Morris Plains, NJ or Charlotte, NC locations on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the organization's strategic growth, financial performance, risk management, valuation, due diligence, legal compliance, integration planning, stakeholder relations, market and competitive analysis, deal execution, post-merger performance monitoring, long-term strategy, and shareholder value

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to develop strategic initiatives that incorporate inorganic approaches as an enabler for growth; develop, communicate, and apply methodology for identifying targets that support strategic plan
- Support market landscaping and target identification; identify actionable targets and lead engagement, cultivation, and relationship development
- Lead pipeline development and maintenance activities, including supporting origination and outreach activities to potential targets
- Lead deal structuring, bid strategy and negotiation of transaction documents
- Lead cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, operations, and business unit leaders, to ensure alignment and successful execution of M&A initiatives
- Prepare and present business cases, financial models, and investment proposals to senior leadership and the executive team for approval
- Support post sign and close integration team to successfully integrate acquisitions into the business
- Work closely with executive leadership on portfolio evaluation to align with the strategic direction of the company.
- Manage the M&A approval processes, including with corporate and segment executive leadership and, as appropriate, the Board of Directors.
Must Haves
- 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity
- Proven track record of successfully leading and executing complex M&A transactions
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Strong financial acumen, expertise in financial modeling/valuation approaches, and ability to conduct thorough due diligence
- Ability to engage constructively with business leadership to test assumptions and gain full understanding of strategy and business/operational implications of key valuation drivers (strong team player).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical, research, organizational, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, strong research skills.

- Experience in chemicals and materials
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or related field.
- Working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Internal Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
