As an Advanced Embedded Software Engr, within our (NGA) Next-Generation Avionics group, youwill impact the design, architecture and deployment of cutting-edge Display Systems,by delivering innovative features, implementing functionalities, enhancing theuser experience and the overall advancement of technology.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on thedevelopment and advancement of cutting-edge Anthem Display Platform software that willshape the future of Avionics technology. Join us in revolutionizing the waypilots interact with aircraft systems and ensure that our avionics systems continue to lead the industry in innovation and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement advanced software solutions for Avionics Display systems, applications and services, ensuring high performance, reliability, and user-friendliness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design software architectures, and implement software modules.
  • Leverage your expertise in software engineering to drive innovation and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure system performance and reliability

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 4+ years of experience in embedded software engineering
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ software development

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Understanding various software development life cycles, methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Open GL, etc
  • Experience developing software in a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS)
  • Experience in embedded software development for aerospace, avionics, display technologies, or related industries.
  • Experience with Avionics products is of value i.e. Displays & Graphics, Flight Mgmt, Flight Planning, Flight Controls, Flight Displays (PFD), Traffic Collision Avoidance (TCAS), Crew Alert Messaging (CAS), Terrain, Radios, etc
  • Experience operating in an Agile framework desired
  • Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices.
  • Can quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts.
  • Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.
