Job Purpose
The Transportation & Installation (T&I) Lead is responsible for leading the safe and effective planning and execution of riser, subsea facilities, and tie-in activities for the NFPS COMP Project. This role involves overseeing all T&I-related offshore activities, ensuring engineering deliverables, work preparation, risk assessments, SIMOPS, and vessel acceptance are thoroughly reviewed and endorsed. The T&I Lead strives to achieve best-in-class HSE and quality performance under challenging project objectives within a multicultural environment.
Key Job Accountabilities

Project Scope Familiarity

Develop a deep understanding of the project scope, technical, quality, and safety requirements, including applicable regulations, project procedures, and company rules.

T&I Deliverables Coordination
-
Lead coordination, review, and validation of technical and execution deliverables related to T&I engineering and execution, including:

Stalk-on risers loadout, transportation, and installation analysis and execution.

Subsea activities by MSV and DSV (e.g., sleepers, riser clamps, spool tie-ins).

T&I Planning and Scheduling

Review and approve T&I plans and schedules, ensuring alignment with the integrated NFPS schedule and coordination with other QELNG departments and NFPS COMP projects.

Safety Leadership and Work Execution

Support the implementation of T&I safety leadership and ensure safe execution by adhering to QELNG work management systems, including SIMOPS, permit to work, and marine operations.

Support contractor HSE execution and assist the COMP Project Manager and leadership in achieving project objectives.

Design and Operational Change Review

Review and approve T&I design and operational changes, deviations, and exceptions according to the Project Management of Change (PMOC) process.

Collaboration with Stakeholders

Engage actively with QELNG OESS, Operations, Marine, and Logistics teams to solicit input, provide feedback, and ensure alignment with T&I execution plans.

Progress Reporting

Provide regular and efficient reporting to management, offering a clear overview of progress, achievements, and leading indicators for achieving COMP project objectives.

Offshore Execution Monitoring

Monitor offshore execution progress against the integrated schedule, ensuring contractor activities and work downtime are adequately recorded and analyzed.

Contractor Performance Management

Identify and address signs of poor contractor performance promptly, taking the lead in providing corrective action proposals to management.

Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

Offshore survival certificate and ability to pass an offshore medical evaluation. OPITO certification is a plus.
Knowledge and/or Experience
-
Minimum of 8 years of experience in T&I execution, with at least 5 years offshore on installation vessels, especially for pipeline and riser installations, cable installations, and barge/vessel/DSV operations.

Extensive knowledge in offshore installations, including heavy lifts, pipeline/cable installation, riser stalk-on, load-out, and transportation.

Worldwide experience with offshore installation contractors.

Proficient in HAZOP, HAZID, and risk assessment processes. Good knowledge of international codes and standards.
