Regional Asia Sales manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead marketing and sales activities related to products, systems, and services within the defined industry segments, for the assigned area. Each day, you will ensure that the division and related sales units substantially improve their sales, margins, market share, and customer satisfaction in the selected market segments. You will also showcase your expertise by developing and implementing a market-based strategy including direct, third party, and project sales and enhancing cross-division and cross-region business-led collaborations for the specific market segment. The work model for the role is: #hybrid This role is contributing to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics in Malaysia. You will be mainly accountable for: • Leading the segment team members and reinforces global sales efficiency and performance. • Building relationships with key external influencers/key customers and leverages ABB's strengths to capture new business opportunities. • Driving and ensuring knowledge sharing and cross-division and cross-country collaborations. • Activating operation intelligence, benchmarking, and analysis to identify industry segment trends, practices, product gaps, competitor strategy, etc.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with strong exposure to automation, electrification, or process control solutions.
• Proven track record in business development, key account management, or segment leadership.
• Strong understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and project lifecycles.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self-starter with strategic thinking and the ability to drive initiatives independently.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
