Honeywell's Global Technical Operations In-Service Engineering (ISE) team has an exciting opportunity for a Powerplant Engineer/In-Service Engineer to support the Honeywell TPE331 turboprop engine product line. You will report directly to our Sr. Application Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid work schedule.
As an In-Service Powerplant Engineer, you will use Honeywell data and analytics to evaluate fielded products, proactively identify potential issues, and recommend workarounds or solutions to prevent customer disruptions. You will coordinate initial data collection, define the scope of investigations, and support technical issue resolution at both the component and systems level. This role involves close collaboration with Engineering & Technology (E&T) and Customer & Product Support (C&PS) teams to drive resolution through Honeywell's In-Service Resolution Process (IRB) Gate 1.
You will:
• Apply engineering knowledge, tools, and principals to develop new innovative systems
• Grow and develop your technical knowledge in a team-based culture focused on innovation and customer satisfaction
• Drive continuous improvement and lead change in a premiere organization
Key Responsibilities:
• 30% Serve as a technical consultant for internal teams and external customers, providing subject matter expertise on TPE331 powerplant systems
• 30% Deliver responsive, high-quality customer support, including issue triage and communication
• 10% Lead or participate in cross-functional collaboration to develop workarounds or interim solutions based on real-time product data and feedback
• 25% Investigate and resolve complex technical issues using structured problem-solving techniques and engineering best practices
• 5% Travel as needed to support investigations, customer meetings, or field activities

YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science field
• 3+ years of experience demonstrating in-depth technical knowledge of APU's, turboshaft, or propulsion engines including aircraft interface / interaction.
• Must be able to wear safety shoes and glasses (when required), follow ESD guidelines, work in a lab, production, or repair & overhaul area to for example, accomplish witness engine teardowns for special investigations.
• Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to handle and de-escalate challenging situations

• Extensive direct engineering and/or technical experience with APU's, propulsion engines, Aerospace components, mechanical or platform systems.
• Some experience interfacing with internal/external customers.
• Familiarity with Sales Force (SFDC)
• Program Management experience
