About the Role We are seeking a Principal Project Planner to join our team in Mesa, AZ on a long-term contract. The successful candidate will provide expert-level planning and scheduling support to a dynamic and fast-paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed, resource-loaded project schedules using Primavera P6
- Conduct planning sessions with multi-disciplinary leads to align timelines and deliverables
- Coordinate with procurement teams on critical supply items
- Perform critical path and delay analyses to support timely project delivery
- Track and communicate scope changes and potential impacts; contribute to mitigation planning
- Support project cash flow forecasting and reporting
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with project stakeholders
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in scheduling and planning processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with Primavera P6 (10 years strongly preferred)
- Proven background in planning/scheduling for Oil & Gas projects
- Solid understanding of cost and schedule integration, project controls (AACEE & PMI), and constructability
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Mesa, AZ (no remote or hybrid option)
- Experience with Mining project planning/scheduling
- Degree in Construction Management, Business, or a related field
