Honeywell
Join the industry leader to design the next generation of breakthroughs
The future is what you make it.
When you join Honeywell, you become a member of our global team of thinkers, innovators, dreamers and doers who make the things that make the future. We are a team of innovators who strive to make the future of aerospace smarter, safer, and more sustainable.
That means changing the way we fly, fueling jets in an eco-friendly way, keeping buildings smart and safe and even making it possible to breathe on Mars.
Are you ready to help us make the future?
Honeywell's Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System (ROAAS) is an advanced safety solution designed to enhance landing performance and operational safety for aircraft during the landing phase. The ROAAS provides critical real-time alerts to flight crews, focusing on the risk of runway overruns-situations that can occur when an aircraft does not stop before the runway's end.
The system utilizes sophisticated algorithms and integrates data from multiple aircraft systems, including landing gear performance and runway conditions, to evaluate landing dynamics. By assessing real-time factors such as aircraft speed, runway length, and environmental conditions, ROAAS delivers timely warnings and advisory information to pilots, prompting necessary actions to prevent overruns.
As a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer within the Communication,Navigation & Surveillance (CN&S) Center of Excellence, youwill play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management ofsophisticated Avionics systems and solutions. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the development and implementation of our Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System (ROAAS) products.
In the high-stakes world of aviation, every detail matters, and your expertise will be fundamental in creating systems that protect lives and streamline operations. As part of a dedicated team, you will contribute to innovative engineering solutions that reimagine how we approach aircraft safety. In this role, you will not just enhance systems; you will actively shape the future of aviation safety.
