This internship will serve as a member of our team working in our Mission Engineering Division's Development and Integration Program in Lexington Park, MD. The candidate will be directly responsible for maintaining a positive and productive working relationship with KBR engineering and technical staff, our DOD customers, and/or other external contractor entities as applicable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen
Education: Must be an undergraduate student pursuing a BS degree in an Engineering discipline.
Clearance: Eligible to Obtain a DOD Clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Compensation: $20/HR. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

This internship will serve as a member of our team working in our Mission Engineering Division's Development and Integration Program in Lexington Park, MD. The candidate will be directly responsible for maintaining a positive and productive working relationship with KBR engineering and technical staff, our DOD customers, and/or other external contractor entities as applicable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist experienced technical professionals in various stages of engineering research, development, integration, test, and evaluation - from design, simulation, fabrication, prototyping, testing, automating, and more.
- Support KBR's Mission Engineering Division in a full-time capacity at 40 hours/week during the standard college breaks
- Develop and deliver a final presentation of your work as a capstone of your internship. Additional tasks as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highly preferred for students to have experience within or participation in the CSM Democratizing Research and Experiential Education for Microelectronics (DREEM) Program AND/OR currently taking related Electronics Engineering courses at the University of Maryland's MATRIX Lab or College Park campus.
- Experience with or reading and designing circuit schematics and flow charts, building and testing circuits that include discrete and integrated circuits (ICs) and sensors, including control circuits for various analog environments and physical
- Experience with Engineering Design Software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, Matlab, C++, Java, DSP, Ladder Logic, Ladder Logic, PLC, Arduino, etc.)
- Experience with Circuit Design and Simulation Software and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Layout and Routing Software (KiCAD, Altium, NI Multisim, SPICE, etc.)
- Experience with PCB fabrication, circuit card assembly/soldering and testing, and/or circuit software programming, code review and debugging, and documentation.
- Experience with 3D printing of parts and assemblies using common printers and polymer materials
- Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
