What are you going to do
Essential skills and knowledge
- Monitor and enforce compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) policies, procedures, and regulations on site
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across all work areas
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions
- Lead daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions for all personnel
- Collaborate with supervisors and contractors to ensure safe work practices
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Support emergency response preparedness and drills
- Assist in the implementation of safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives
- Act as a key liaison with local regulatory bodies and inspectors as required
Essential skills and knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
- Proven experience as a Safety Supervisor or similar role
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
