We are looking for an innovative and strategic New TechSystems Strategy/Architect to join our forward-thinking organization. This roleinvolves leading the design, evaluation, and implementation of new technologiesthat align with our business goals. The successful candidate will apply theirknowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices toshape and enhance our technology landscape. This role with report to EnterpriseArchitecture Director.

In October, 2024 Honeywell announcedthe spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alonepublicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that thisrole, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of thisfuture transaction when the separation occurs.

- Technology Strategy Development:
- Develop and articulate a clear technology vision and strategy that aligns with the organization's goals.
- Identify emerging technologies that could enhance operational efficiency, drive innovation, and add value to our systems and processes.
- Evaluate new technologies for their potential application within the organization.
System Architecture Design:
- Design robust and scalable systems architecture that supports business needs and integrates new technologies with existing infrastructure.
- Create and maintain architectural documentation, including diagrams, standards, and guidelines.
- Ensure that system architectures meet performance, reliability, and security requirements.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, business operations, product development) to ensure successful implementation of technology initiatives.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to understand business challenges and define technology solutions.
- Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment on strategic objectives.
- Implementation and Integration:
- Lead the planning and execution of technology pilot programs and full-scale implementations.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate third-party solutions to support strategic objectives.
- Monitor and guide the integration of new technologies into existing systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Research and Innovation:
- Continuously research and analyze industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Champion a culture of innovation within the organization, encouraging teams to explore new ideas and technologies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented technologies and iterate on strategies as needed.
Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing:
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and technical teams.
- Lead training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance the organization's technical capabilities.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in systems architecture, technology strategy, or a related role.
- Proven ability to design and implement complex systems within enterprise environments.
In-depth understanding of current and emerging technologies, including cloud computing, microservices, DevOps, AI/ML, and IoT. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on strategic thinking.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar) are a plus.
