Job Title: Lead Supervisor - Gas Engineering

The salary range for this position is dependent upon experience, ranging from $114,332.80 to $142,916.00

Job Summary

Supervises and directs employees working group within gas engineering. Prepares and communicates reports and maintains records for various activities in the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervises gas engineering group and provides technical guidance to the team.(45% of time, Primary)

• Responsible for budget preparation and cost control for work group. (10% of time, Primary)

• Responsible to schedule work to meet or exceed departmental and corporate goals and objectives.(20% of time, Primary)

• Responsible to develop policies and procedures to safely complete work by the group.(10% of time, Secondary)

• Represents the company on various teams or committees with Energy East, state, regional or national issues.(10% of time,Secondary)

• Acts as liaison for the Company with customers and with state and municipal agencies to coordinate efforts.(5% of time, Secondary)

Required Qualifications

• Experience/Training:
  • At least 7 years of technical experience in gas.
  • Thorough knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of gas system construction and maintenance practices, corrosion control techniques, underground pipe locating, map reading, blue print reading.
  • Knowledge of state and federal pipeline safety regulations.

• Certifications:
  • Valid drivers license.

• Required Education:
  • Bachelors degree in a technical field preferred.
