The role
In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of Weatherford's advanced tools and equipment. You will play a key part in diagnosing faults, carrying out preventive maintenance, and ensuring optimal performance of our systems. Your technical expertise will support our ability to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions to the oil and gas industry.

The role

Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in daily operations, safety meetings, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), promptly reporting any issues using the appropriate systems and tools.
- Maintain equipment, facilities, and work areas in a clean, safe, and presentable condition.
- Perform mechanical and structural repairs using appropriate tools and equipment, including hammers, hoists, cranes, drills, and precision instruments.
- Assemble, install, and repair electrical wiring components and various mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Inspect used components for wear or defects using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometres, and rulers to determine dimensional accuracy.
- Conduct or support troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and modifications on a variety of equipment including electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Test and calibrate tools and equipment in line with documented procedures and within the scope of training and competence.
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, tools, and documentation.
- Accurately complete Work Orders, repair forms, inspection checklists, and ensure all related data systems are properly updated.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Oil & Gas industry experience
- High School Diploma (minimum)
- Basic computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong understanding of safety protocols when working with hazardous materials, explosives, or radioactives
- Basic maths, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to perform maintenance and repair of mechanical/electronic equipment
- Good written and verbal communication
- Physically fit to meet role demands
- Strong time management and attention to quality standards
- Ability to read technical documents and visualise equipment for repair or assembly
- Completed military service (certificate of service should be available)
