Wood is currently recruiting for a TAR Managerto join its Singapore business unit focusing on safe delivery of the facility Turnaround program on a 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off rotational work.

This is a full-time onsite position in Basra, Iraq, with travel requirement.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced TAR Managerto join our Singapore Business Unit.

This project is to focus more resources towards improving maintenance and reliability on the Oil, Gas & Water Systems, required to efficiently support maintenance, turn arounds and engineering organizations with the appropriate qualifications and experience.

Key Objectives
  • Safe delivery of the facility Turnaround program.
  • Ensure systematic and efficient delivery of TAR's to drive continued improvement of safe and reliable operation and to meet with industry best practice.
  • Support client to set TAR Strategy to meet key business objectives (process safety, integrity, environmental, reliability and upgrades) that need shutdown intervention.
  • Provide solutions.
  • Deliver TAR objectives to agreed milestones for multiple concurrent events through TAR lifecycle.
  • Interface Management of all function stakeholders across concurrent TAR's.
  • Lead the core TAR team to ensure TAR deliverables are met and ensure execution excellence.
  • Define execution org for each event ensuring capability and clear accountabilities that is trusted to deliver TAR safely, on time, on budget.
  • Develop and maintain competency in the team.
  • Ensure TAR Close out - Completions, MOC's, documentation updates, punch-list, work orders.
  • Conduct Lessons Learned for all TAR's.
  • Through good leadership and mentoring develop local national capability fit for future state.
  • Interface and align plans with Site Activity Planning
  • Identify areas to reduce production losses.
  • Responsible and accountable for organization communicating expectations on job safety, health, environmental and security to TAR team
  • Adherence to the laws, regulations, standards, specifications, and procedures.
  • Develops and maintains open communications on control issues (safe work practices, training, materials).
  • Ensure the application of Company Policy in relation to the Drug and Alcohol policy, Company Ethics, Award conditions, etc, whilst respecting and protecting the personal rights of subordinates


QUALIFICATIONS

Expected:
  • 15+ years' experience in Petrochemical or Oil and Gas Industry
  • 10+ years' experience in a TAR environment
  • 10+ years previous key leadership position within an operating oil or gas field - required
  • HNC qualification or higher in relevant technical discipline with strong understanding of engineering fundamentals
  • Excellent communication (oral & written) skills in English
  • Highest standard of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude and cultivates the same in others
  • Ability to interact in a multi-cultural environment
  • Demonstrated experience in liaising with third party contractors, business partners and local communities
  • Understanding and operation of Emergency Preparedness Procedures
  • Good management /supervisory, interpersonal and motivation skills
  • Good knowledge of safe systems of work
