Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary: We are seeking a talented HVAC Technician to join our team in Utah. This full-time position involves installing, programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC controls in commercial and industrial facilities. You will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and performance of HVAC control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and configure HVAC controls, including sensors, actuators, thermostats, and building automation systems.
• Program and troubleshoot HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and optimal performance.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on HVAC control systems.
• Identify and resolve system issues, minimizing downtime for clients.
• Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints for system installations and repairs.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Document work performed, including service reports, programming changes, and recommendations for system improvements.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and industry standards while conducting fieldwork.
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or technical certification in HVAC, electronics, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience as an HVAC Technician, or similar position, i.e. electrician
• Proven experience with HVAC controls and building automation systems (e.g., Johnson Controls, Verasys, Metasys, Honeywell, Alerton, LCBS).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and control components.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in HVAC control systems.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel to local job sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, or other HVAC communication protocols.
• Experience with energy management systems and optimization.
• Industry certifications such as EPA 608, NATE, or equivalent.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Hourly Rate: Up to $42/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
