Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, install, and maintain process piping systems including stainless steel, copper, and plastic piping.
- Perform orbital welding with precision in compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Conduct butt fusion of plastic piping systems according to approved procedures.
- Read and interpret piping isometric drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Ensure all piping installations are clean, precise, and compliant with cGMP requirements.
- Conduct system pressure testing and validation activities.
- Maintain safe working conditions following all OSHA, site-specific, and cGMP safety protocols.
- Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and QA/QC staff to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including weld logs and as-built drawings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a journeyman-level pipefitter.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Orbital welding of stainless steel tubing.
- Butt fusion of HDPE and other plastic piping materials.
- Working in regulated cleanroom or cGMP environments.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and process schematics.
- Commitment to high-quality craftsmanship and precision.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification (preferred).
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
Preferred Attributes:
- Certification in orbital welding (preferred but not required).
- Previous experience working in pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or chemical manufacturing facilities.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Professional communication skills and a safety-first mindset.
