Principal Software Engineer

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, We are seeking a skilled Full Stack DevOps Engineer with expertise in Azure DevOps, Python coding and automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in CI/CD, infrastructure automation, cloud services, and full-stack DevOps workflows.

This role is contributing to Process Automation business for Process Automation Digital division based in Bangalore Southfield, India

You will be mainly accountable for:

DevOps & Cloud (Azure Focused)

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes (AKS), Docker, and Azure Services. Implement security best practices, access control, and governance policies in Azure.

Automation & Scripting

• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline operations. Write Infrastructure as Code(IaC) scripts to manage cloud resources.
• Automate build, deployment, and post-deployment validation processes. Integrate DevOps tools with Azure, including secrets management and service authentication.

Full Stack Development & DevOps

• Work on backend services using Python (Flask, FastAPI, or Django). Develop and optimize database queries (SQL,PostgreSQL, CosmosDB, MongoDB).
• Contribute to microservices development, containerization, and orchestration. Implement performance monitoring and optimization strategies for applications.

Collaboration & Best Practices

• Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to improve workflows. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in pipelines, deployments, and cloud environments.

Qualifications for the role

• Education & Experience : BE/BTech - Computer Science or with similar discipline
• 3+ Years of experience with below expertise:
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps - pipelines, repositories, artifact management, and releases.
• Strong Python coding skills - for automation, scripting, and backend development.
• Experience with Azure services - AKS, ACR, App Services, Functions, Storage, and Networking.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• CI/CD expertise - automating builds, testing, and deployments.
• Containerization knowledge - Docker, Kubernetes (AKS preferred). Experience in monitoring & logging - Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, ELK.
• Understanding of networking concepts - VNet, VPN, Load Balancers, DNS, and security best practices. Experience with Git and Git-based workflows
