Job Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain the SI Hexagon (SPI/INtools) system across all project phases.
- Configure and manage SI Hexagon databases, reference data, and user access levels.
- Interface with technical teams (in-house/external) to resolve any tool-related issues.
- Develop templates, formats, and reports required by the users.
- Develop macros and applications that will improve the efficiency of tool usage.
- Create user-friendly views for inputting data by the users.
- Import data to SPI from other formats (e.g., Excel).
- Ensure consistent and accurate instrument data entry, modification, and reporting.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to support instrumentation deliverables (e.g., datasheets, loop diagrams, wiring schedules).
- Troubleshoot system errors, manage upgrades, and coordinate with IT teams when necessary.
- Support the integration of SPI with other SmartPlant suite tools (e.g., SP3D, SPPID).
- Maintain documentation and provide training or user support to project teams.
- Ensure compliance with company and project standards and best practices.
- Perform regular system backups and monitor system performance.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Electrical and Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working with SI Hexagon (SPI/INtools) in an engineering environment, with at least two years as an SI (SPI/INtools) Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of control systems, instrumentation design workflows, and document deliverables.
- Hands-on experience in SPI database administration, customization, and report generation.
- Familiarity with other SmartPlant tools is a strong plus (e.g., SPPID, SP3D).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, including teams working at multiple geographical locations.
