As a Speciality Gas Sales Support Specialist/Gas Coordinator, you'll be responsible for a wide range of critical tasks, including:
- Supply Chain Management: Overseeing the end-to-end supply chain for specialty gases, including creating production orders, stock transport orders, and purchase orders from external vendors.
- Order Fulfillment: Managing the daily processing of requisitions, converting them into purchase orders, and ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment for both internal and external customers.
- Vendor & Branch Communication: Serving as a key point of contact for communication with vendors and branches regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any related inquiries.
- New Material Management: Facilitating the creation of new material requests, obtaining quotes, and ensuring all necessary parameters are set up for seamless integration into our systems.
- Inventory Optimization: Reviewing and setting reorder points for specialty gas products to maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent stockouts.
- Restricted Products Management: Handling the licensing and management of restricted products in SAP, ensuring compliance and smooth sales processes.
- Reporting & Analysis: Utilizing various reports to monitor supply chain performance, identify discrepancies, and proactively address potential issues.
- Problem Resolution: Investigating and resolving supply chain challenges, including late orders, unfulfilled demand, and customer order changes.
- Continuous Improvement: Contributing to the ongoing optimization of our supply chain processes, including updating MRP settings, source lists, and addressing dead stock.
Are you a MATCH?
- Extensive Knowledge of Specialty Gases: A deep understanding of various specialty gases, their properties, applications, and handling requirements is essential.
- Proficiency in Gas Coordinator Duties: Thorough comprehension of the daily responsibilities and processes associated with a Gas Coordinator role is mandatory.
- Experience with Google Sheets: Demonstrated strong proficiency in utilizing Google Sheets for data management, analysis, and reporting is a critical requirement.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with internal teams, external sales, and potentially customers.
- Detail-Oriented: A meticulous approach with a strong focus on accuracy is crucial for managing quotes, part numbers, and technical information related to specialty gases.
- Time Management Skills: Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines effectively, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships with our outside specialty gas sales team is critical for success in this role.
