What are you going to do

  • Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems including fire alarms, hydrants, sprinklers, gas suppression systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency shutdown devices in accordance with NFPA standards and project specifications.
  • Ensure that all fire protection systems are compliant with local regulations, international codes, and client safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, and HSE teams to identify fire hazards and implement appropriate mitigation measures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular fire risk assessments, inspections, and safety audits on-site, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for any identified non-compliance.
  • Develop and implement fire safety procedures and emergency response plans, including fire drills, evacuation plans, and first responder coordination.
  • Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with fire and safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, adherence to hot work permits, and housekeeping practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation on inspection results, testing records, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance for submission to project management and external stakeholders.
  • Lead or support incident investigations related to fire or safety issues, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide safety training and toolbox talks related to fire prevention and emergency procedures for site personnel.
  • Liaise with authorities, insurance representatives, and third-party auditors regarding fire safety standards and inspections, as required by project phases or local law.


Essential skills and knowledge

  • Indonesia citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience in a similar role will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection and safety management, preferably within large-scale energy infrastructure projects, such as power plants, LNG terminals, or high-voltage substations.
  • Strong knowledge of national and international fire safety regulations and standards, including NFPA, OSHA, and local building codes.
  • Hands-on experience with the installation, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems such as fire alarms, fire suppression systems, and emergency equipment.
  • Proficient in conducting fire risk assessments, safety audits, and developing fire safety plans and emergency response procedures.
  • Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk management, and emergency response strategies in high-risk industrial environments.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and train site personnel and contractors on fire safety practices and emergency response procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic project environment.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to prepare detailed reports and present findings to management and regulatory authorities.
  • Certification in Fire Safety, Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent), and any relevant fire system certifications will be an advantage.
  • Fluency in English, with knowledge of additional languages being a plus for multinational project teams.
