The role

The role involves managing all government-related processes including visas, permits, licenses, and ensuring full compliance with local labor and immigration regulations. This position plays a critical role in supporting employees and maintaining seamless relations with key government stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between Wood and the North Oil Company.
• Build and maintain relationships with local government offices, community leaders, and key influencers.
• Support the application and coordination of oilfield access passes for Wood staff.
• Assist with visa and residency processing through local authorities.
• Ensure adherence to local labor and regulatory requirements.
• Represent Wood in meetings, official functions, and coordination efforts.
• Provide support for local procurement, vendor engagement, and logistics.
• Enhance our credibility with local authorities and communities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• The ideal candidate must have 5-7 years of experience in a similar supervisory role
• Strong leadership and communication skills, and deep knowledge of Iraqi government procedures.
• Experienced in community engagement
• Fluency in Arabic, Kurdish, and English (spoken and written) is required
• Holds a valid Iraqi Driving License & Kirkuk Residency Card
• Solid computer and interpersonal skills.
