Sr Advanced Sys Engineer - IFS CoE
Technically Lead, develop, and motivate engineering teams responsible for the System design and development for Air Transport/Regional/Business Jet/General Aviation (ATR/BGA) core Products. You will be responsible for defining, executing the technical content by working with global systems engineering team, software engineering team and customers. You will participate in all phases of product development and drive high impact growth projects.
Develop, mentor, and inspire engineers who work to develop innovative products and technologies. Influence & challenge engineer teams to effectively solve complex engineering problems.
Build and guide highly talented engineering teams to deliver exceptional solutions.
Essential Skills:
This role will be primarily responsible for
• Execution Excellence
o Technical Lead for a project, including project's overall technical solution, system level performance, configuration management, quality, and certification.
o Managing requirements, controlling scope, and executing baseline change management
o Leading critical stage gates and objectives of programs viz., Technical Concept Review (TCR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), IPDS Phase gate exits, SOI Audits and Customer & Cert authority reviews as required.
o Define and drive the ARP4754A practices across the applicable products by demonstrating strong adherence and compliance to the same.
o Responsible to ensure ATR/BGA Products are compliance to TSO standards and meet System/Software Certification Requirements
o Participates in Systems and Software architecture, Requirement and Design reviews.
o Drive strong System/Software Architectures and reduce the reapplication cost of inserting the products into program.
o Strategically own and drive key initiatives viz., System Engineering Improvements (Agile Development Plans, Integrated System Test Plans, System test use cases, System Test Integration Checkouts) and influence stakeholders on early adaption and incremental outcomes.
o Driving strong Basis of Estimates (BOE) across each of the Quotation estimates of responsible product for the content by working through PEs, Systems Leads, functional leads and technical managers as required.
o Provides hands-on engineering support, mentor and groom engineers on the programs and their technical career path.
• Technology and Business
o Establishes strong working relationships with key stakeholders (M&PM, Chief, S/W and V&V COEs, Customers) to drive growth through NPIs and RMU. Support Business teams on Products insertion as part of new pursuits.
o Support Product Maturity via new features as part of enhancements with constant dialogue with Business team.
o Engages in System/Software Architecture, Design and Requirement reviews as a key input provider, first level approver.
o Drive robust plan and pipeline of rapid prototypes for the near-term risk avoidance to the program and medium-term features which bring revenue potential through PPV, POC, POVs / Agile model.
• Strategic Impact
o Works with EM/Sr EM's to grow capability in Systems expertise (Scrum master, Systems Leads, Product Owners etc.,).
o Collaborate effectively as required on HGR pursuits, participate in customer visits, share knowledge gained through conference participation etc.
o Imbibes and role model Honeywell behaviors and values, HTS DNA and participates in LPD initiatives as change agent.
o Supporting GBE STRAP revenue targets through competitive intelligence and product line software architecture frameworks
o Driving technology initiatives and feature insertion per M&PM roadmap & strategies.
o Be part of SDP and own one strategic initiative.
Skill Requirement
• B.E/B. Tech/M. E/M. Tech in Electric/Electronics/Computers
• Minimum 10+ years of experience working various application areas supporting avionics functions.
• Experience working in Systems Architecture, Requirements, Design, software development and reviews. Working experience and Knowledge of ATR/BGA Product lines is preferred.
• Have experience in performing Systems Engineering leadership roles on the programs with accountability.
• Expertise working with Aerospace standards, ARP4754A and familiarity with DO178B/C
• Possess good understanding of business objectives and more importantly the ability to interact with our customers (internal and external).
• Able to identify and manage risks and opportunities with demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects.
• Must have excellent communication, collaboration, and networking skills.
