Experienced Technical Writer (Fire & Life Safety)
We have an opportunity for an ExperiencedTechnical Writer (Fire & Life Safety) to join us at Honeywell, in Leicester, where you will lead thedevelopment and maintenance of technical documentation for solutions across theHBT Technical Publications team with a focus on the Fire and Life Safety lineof business. You will work in a global environment and collaborate with othercontent developers, product owners, offering managers, engineers, developers,UI designers, operations and other stakeholders to deliver documentation. Thedocumentation of the solutions includes software and hardware and should bedesigned for customer consumption. You have the natural ability to evaluate andanalyze complex information and then clearly explain them to others in simpleterms.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards
- Identify with product management technical documentation tools to support our physical and digital products
- Work in a diverse global team to create and deliver high quality technical content in a timely manner. Work closely with engineering, regulatory and marketing teams to develop and review technical content
- Apply modern technical writing techniques and tools to ensure customer clarity
- Maintenance of existing technical documentation artifacts
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Technical Communication or technical field preferred
- Solid experience in a technical documentation role with superior written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on detail, as well as experience negotiating and working with a global writing team
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization
- Experience using modern development processes, such as SAFe Agile
- Certification through the Society for Technical Communicators, and experience using Madcap Flare (preferred), Adobe Framemaker, or other XML tools to create documentation
