This Position reports to:
Senior Legal Counsel
In this role, you will lead the provision of contract management services to the Local Business Unit/Product Group or Country, ensuring all contract management activities are executed in accordance with Group/Division/Business Unit directives and instructions including Company procedures and the Contract Management Framework.

This role is contributing to the Legal & Integrity Function in Sesto San Giovanni (MI).

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensuring the portfolio of contracts follows contract and claim management methodologies in accordance with internal standard procedures.
• Reviewing and commenting on commercial and technical tender terms, ensuring contract strategy aligns with ABB's policies and execution requirements.
• Identifying the contract baseline and highlighting areas of potential risk while ensuring timely execution of commercial aspects (payments, claims, variation orders, etc.).
• Verifying fulfillment of contractual obligations, enforcing change methodologies, and communicating required modifications to customers.
• Enforcing and defending ABB's contractual interests against customers and suppliers throughout the project life cycle, supporting Legal in negotiations.
• Supporting drafting of purchase orders, contracts, and subcontracts, ensuring appropriate contract terms to protect ABB's interests.
• Analyzing contract terms to identify risks and opportunities, seeking advice from Legal to draft, negotiate, and finalize agreements.
• Ensuring adherence to contract insurance provisions and coordinating with Insurance Risk Management on covered occurrences.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Law.
• You have between three and five years of experience, preferably in legal firms dealing with litigations.
• Sound knowledge of contract management and a strong understanding of contract law
• You are a team player with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• You have proficiency in office software, including Excel, PPT etc.
• You are at ease communicating in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
