Job Summary

As a Assembly technician, you will be assisting the ISV Business Unit manufacture products to conform with specifications, procedure, and certification requirements as stated in the Quality Management system. This includes assembly, testing and inspection of valves, Valve operating system and Automated valve packages. This role does not limit only to assembly but also will include complex problem solving and reporting team with daily activities thinking out of the box. You will be responsible to liaise with Senior technicians, Supervisors & Operational team members such as Master Production Schedulers, Customer Service, QA/QC, Logistics and Operations Management and Customers.

In this Role, your responsibilities will be:
  • Perform the various duties required to assemble and test valves, valve operating systems and automated valve packages according to company requirements and standards these duties include but are not limited to the following
  • Responsible for overall 5S & Safety practices and activities
  • Basic knowledge in assembly and testing of valves and actuators
  • Competent in using MS Office and Oracle applications and - Valve Test Report recording
  • Assembly knowledge of butterfly valves and calibration knowledge to handle automated valve packages
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in operation of test benches for both Hydrostatic and Seat leak testing as per API 598, FCI 70-2 and applicable international standards.
  • Responsible for updating tool requirements, repair, and calibration requirements.
  • Expert /Certified experience in digital and analog positioner/Instrument calibration
  • Basic Knowledge of valve testing and operation of valve test benches.
  • Perform Advanced Customer/TPI inspections for special and complex valve assemblies
  • Integration and calibration of complex pneumatic operated, electrical, hydraulic, electrohydraulic actuators.
  • Perform advanced calibration to handle Valve operating system and automated valve packages
  • Participation in casualty review discussions based on requirement
  • Ensure special tool and fixture availability on time in coordination with Eng. Team and customer requirements
  • Extended support out of standard working hours for production related challenges.
  • Support preventive maintenance schedules
  • Participation in casualty review discussions based of requirement
  • Ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics and procedures etc. and follow-on day-to-day assembly activities.
  • Follow all established Plant HSE and Housekeeping guidelines.

For this Role, You Will Need:
  • Eligible candidate should have a ITI, or technical diploma/ degree or equivalent
  • Required experience 3-5 years in Valve manufacturing/production facility preferred.
  • Good technical knowledge and experience in valve assembly, servicing, testing.
  • Good technical knowledge and experience in electrical actuator calibration, testing and valve positioners calibration and testing.


Preferred qualifications that set you apart:
  • Overhead Crane Operator Certification
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Computer knowledge required to work with manufacturing software. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to complete assigned tasks/projects with a minimum of supervision.
