Purpose:
1. Ultimately accountable to deliver Discipline Specific Construction Work Packs and record in AS9 the work information used to prepare installation (RFI, FCR..)
2. Contribution to the scheduling of the works for the discipline, inclusive of review and feedback on suitability of level of resource.
3. Define boundary of scope of works
4. Liaising with necessary SME's and client counterparts
5. Ensuring documents are compliant with latest works information and other MEH documentation. Request clarification or propose changes when required. Prioritisation and ownershipof documentation to enable construction works as per the schedule.
6. Ensure documents are kept up-to-date and reviewed periodically where required
7. Ownership and driving of deliverables from conception to A-Accepted status >90% first time accepted criteria. Can be inclusive of specific Method Statements.
8. Prioritisation and ownershipof documentation to enable construction works as per the level 4 plan. E.g. T-3 months accepted prior to works
9. Support continuous improvement programmes to improve process/procedures
10. Directly report to the area pre-construction PM or nominated deputy. Provide line management to other team members and/or deputise for the PM where required.
11. Ensure compliance with all nuclear safety and site licence requirements
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receive, analyse, coordinate and action works information documentation associated with the specific discipline of the work.
2. Identify the available work front for the discipline through detailed constructability reviews and the associated installation schedule.
3. Identify the key material needed to unlock additional installation. Request surveys and temporary devices when required.
4. Deliver discipline specific construction documentation including workpack's in support of the installation programme of activities.
5. Provide coordination between disciplines and areas ensuring interfaces are managed appropriately for best schedule adherence.
6. Support and enable other MEH work teams such as temporary services, surveying, coatings in ensuring a coordinated approach to the works.
Key Requirements:
Qualifications:
1. Degree qualification or equivalent vocational training OR experience of installing Mechanical and Piping systems.
2. Can achieve Security Clearance (BPSS or Higher)
3. CCNSG Safety Passport
Experience
1. Proven track record of working in a highly regulated sector, preferably in nuclear
2. Experience working on major construction projects
3. Experienced in delivering and operating at Engineer or Senior Engineer level
4. Experienced in Navisworks model, ability to use excel proficiently.
