NES Fircroft is seeking a highly skilled Project Planner with over 6 years of experience in major project environments to support a portfolio of Rio Tinto capital projects across Western Australia. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering end-to-end project controls solutions on complex brownfield and greenfield developments.
 
 
Your Role Will Include:
 
 

• Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Integrating baseline programs with cost and risk functions to support earned value reporting and overall project governance.
• Leading progress measurement and variance analysis against project milestones.
• Supporting stakeholder reviews, providing schedule risk insights, and driving recovery strategies where required.
• Collaborating with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to align execution plans and priorities.

 
 
 
What We’re Looking For:
 
 

• 6 years of proven experience as a Project Planner in mining, oil & gas, or heavy industry environments.
• Strong capability in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and associated project controls systems.
• Solid understanding of EPCM delivery models, critical path methodology, and project lifecycle planning.
• Experience supporting brownfield execution or shutdown/turnaround projects will be highly regarded.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional stakeholder engagement.

 
 
 
Qualifications:
 
 

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Additional training or certification in project controls, scheduling, or Primavera (P6) is advantageous.
