NES Fircroft is seeking experienced Maintenance Planners to support key mining operations across Western Australia. We have multiple openings available — both Perth-based and FIFO roles — with leading owner-operators and contractors. Key Responsibilities:
 
 

• Develop and maintain short and long-term maintenance plans for mobile and/or fixed plant equipment in line with operational requirements.
• Collaborate with maintenance, reliability, and operations teams to ensure proactive maintenance scheduling and minimal unplanned downtime.
• Use CMMS systems (SAP, Pronto, or similar) to raise work orders, plan tasks, allocate resources, and manage parts availability.
• Monitor work execution progress, update planning schedules, and ensure compliance with work management processes.
• Prepare detailed job scopes, maintenance strategies, PM reviews, and shutdown schedules.
• Support major shutdown campaigns by coordinating trades, materials, and timelines in alignment with site safety and productivity goals.

 
 
 
Your Experience:
 
 

• 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Planner in the mining sector (mobile, fixed plant, or both).
• Strong understanding of maintenance practices for crushers, conveyors, screens, drills, trucks, loaders, and ancillary equipment.
• Proven ability to manage short-term planning (weekly/daily) and long-term strategies (quarterly/annual).
• Experience supporting shutdowns, turnarounds, and preventative maintenance programs.
• Proficiency in CMMS platforms such as SAP, Pronto, Oracle, or MEX.
• Solid understanding of reliability principles and maintenance work management processes.

 
 
 
Qualifications & Tickets:
 
 

• Relevant trade or engineering background (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
• Cert IV in Maintenance Planning or equivalent (desirable).
• Current C-Class Driver’s Licence.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medicals and site inductions.
