The Fuels Compliance Coordinator ensures adherence to EPA fuels certification regulations, manages monthly fuel transaction reconciliation, documentation, and reporting, and collaborates with schedulers, inspection companies, and auditors to confirm compliance and integrity of regulatory reporting data. This role is part of a growing team responsible for environmental fuel credit administration.

The Fuels Compliance Coordinator ensures adherence to EPA fuels certification regulations, manages monthly fuel transaction reconciliation, documentation, and reporting, and collaborates with schedulers, inspection companies, and auditors to confirm compliance and integrity of regulatory reporting data. This role is part of a growing team responsible for environmental fuel credit administration.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Administration of environmental fuel credit transactions, including processing transactions, reconciliation, analysis, and validation of data.
- Frequent interaction with various front-office, mid-office, and back-office team members.
- Developing an in-depth understanding of EPA fuels certification regulations and reporting requirements and how they pertain to our clean products and renewables business.
- Monthly fuel transaction reconciliation, documentation, fuel specs data entry, internal reporting.
- Interactions with independent inspection companies and third-party auditors.
- Participation in projects as needed to identify and implement business process improvement opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years or more experience in a similar role
- Proficient in SAP S/4 HANA
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years or more experience in a similar role
- Technical aptitude to learn quickly and become self-sufficient
- Knowledge of Commercial trading and operations businesses
- Knowledge of LCFS credits, RIN credits, and/or fuel blending activity a plus
- Knowledge of EPA's RFS program
- Proven ability to master back-office systems
- Experience with clean and renewable products commercial operations
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Proven commitment to accuracy and timeliness
- Ability to work well independently and within a team
- High level of self-initiative and drive
