We are looking a skilled Financial Accountant who would like to join an International Oil & Gas company to work in Mexico City.

Function description

As a Financial Accountant you will be required to perform with the following duties:

• Preparing quarterly financial statements for local authorities.
• Managing monthly closing entries and tax accounting.
• Creating monthly reporting packages and closing schedules.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Conducting monthly analyses of balance sheet and P&L variations.
• Overseeing the banking module in SAP and handling loans and cash pooling entries.
• Supporting internal and external audits.
• Assisting with financial information for tax opinions.

Requirements

In addition to having experience in this field, you must comply with the following requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• More than ten (10) years of experience in accounting processes and month-end procedures (preferred experience in the oil and gas industry).
• Proven knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Demonstrated competence in ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Experience in the Energy sector and legislation (Hydrocarbons Law).
• Advanced English (Is a most-have).
