ABOUT THE ROLE

The Energy Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing strategies to optimize energy performance, ensure regulatory compliance (including ISO 50001), and promote sustainable practices across data center operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Energy Performance Management
• Design and implement the Energy Efficiency Program (EEP) and define key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Monitor energy performance metrics (e.g., PUE, WUE, COP) and deliver detailed monthly reports by usage (IT load, cooling, UPS, etc.).
• Identify opportunities for energy savings and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Optimize measurement systems and enhance granularity of energy usage data.

ISO 50001 Management
• Lead the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the ISO 50001 energy management system.
• Coordinate internal and external audits for ISO 50001 certification and maintenance.
• Collaborate with the Compliance team to integrate ISO 50001 requirements into operational processes.
• Train and raise awareness among teams on ISO 50001 and associated best practices.

Energy Procurement and Financial Oversight
• Contribute to energy purchasing strategies and analyze contracts in collaboration with Finance.
• Oversee customer energy billing and ensure accurate forecasting of energy costs.
• Anticipate energy needs based on site growth and capacity planning.
• Regulatory Compliance and Monitoring
• Ensure adherence to current energy regulations.
• Establish an active monitoring system for legal and technical developments related to energy management.

Project Coordination and Collaboration
• Drive energy efficiency initiatives and coordinate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Participate in AI-driven projects focused on energy performance and address client-specific energy requests.
• Engagement and Training
• Promote energy efficiency and ISO 50001 principles across teams through training and awareness campaigns.
• Represent the organization externally by showcasing results and fostering innovation in energy management.

RESPONSIBILITES IN TERMS OF IMS CERTIFICATIONS

Respect and enforce certification policies in terms of:
• H&S: Respect and enforce health and safety rules.
• Environment: Respect and enforce environmental policies.
• Information security: Respect and enforce information security policies
• Energy: Respect and enforce the policy of reducing energy consumption.

REQUIREMENTS
• Expertise in energy systems (electricity, HVAC, sustainability).
• Proven experience with the implementation and oversight of ISO 50001.
• Proficiency in energy performance monitoring, compliance, and reporting.
• Strong background in supplier management, energy procurement, and financial analysis.
• Effective communication and change management skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with expertise in KPIs and regulatory frameworks related to energy.
