The HVAC Apprentice is a launchpad role designed to grow your career. You'll work alongside experienced technicians and receive the training and mentorship needed to become an independent HVAC Service Technician. This role combines fieldwork, customer service, and ongoing technical development.

You'll learn to diagnose, repair, and maintain home heating and cooling systems while prioritizing customer satisfaction, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, physically capable, and committed to personal growth within the skilled trades.

Note: An EPA 608 Certification (Core and Type 2 minimum) is required to qualify.

What You'll Do
  • Assist senior HVAC technicians with service calls and installations
  • Participate in training on refrigerants, air handling, heat pump systems, and diagnostics
  • Learn and follow Goettl's detailed quality checklists
  • Set up and break down job sites, maintaining a clean and professional work environment
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and digital records
  • Engage with customers in a respectful, informed, and friendly manner
  • Follow safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of tools and chemicals
What You Bring
  • Preference for this role includes work in a similar capacity- or recent education in HVAC
  • EPA 608 Certification (Core and Type 2 or Universal required)
  • A progressive, committed work history and passion for HVAC
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (two years minimum)
  • Ability to pass background and drug screening upon offer
  • Physical ability to lift 75 lbs, bend, climb, kneel, and work in extreme temperatures
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-player mindset
  • Strong desire to grow and master the trade
  • Ability to manage time, solve problems, and stay organized under pressure
