ABOUT THIS POSITION
Be part of a dynamic team of talented and inspired engineers supporting Air and Missile Defense customers on the Lower Tier Air Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS). Take part in the exciting challenges of integrating modern technology and systems with existing Army platforms. This position requires an individual with an engineering understanding of military hardware and the associated systems engineering process going from design to fielding.
Hardware engineer
We are seeking an experienced candidate with strong analytical and problem solving skills to support technical analysis of hardware procurement, integration, and research and development. The best candidate also possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills to participate in discussions and meetings. You will interface directly with your customer and contractor experts regularly, with 10% travel required. You will need to demonstrate proficiency in 2D and 3D technical data package review and creation to aid in review of new hardware solutions.
Be a KBR leader. Mentor and foster core radar principles in junior engineering coworkers.
Be at the forefront of the future of defense. Help develop a new system and witness the evolution of a concept into a fully capable, peerless defense sensor system.
Relocation: Candidate must be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum BS degree (Mechanical Engineering preferred, also accepting degrees in Aerospace or similar field)
- 3-5 years of experience, with focus on Hardware Components
- Experience with hardware technical data packages, missile system hardware, hardware design reviews, and hardware integration.
- Experience working in the Air and Missile Defense sector.
- Secret Clearance or ability to obtain Secret Clearance
- Excellent communication and people skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience directly supporting a customer.
- Working knowledge of CAD Programs such as SolidWorks, Creo, Pro E, and others.
- Experience reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
