This position is remote eligible for up to 40% of the time. Hours are typically Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs.
Pay:
Starting Pay: $38.94 per hour Pay Range: $34.53 - $43.53 per hour
Purpose:
This is a position in our Community Impact group that will support various functions performed for financial analysis and decision making including: financial modeling for projects and products, developing forecasts for operating planning, budgeting and fundraising efforts, return on Investment (ROI) estimates, tracking actual costs, reporting budget variances, assessing cost effectiveness of product and services, promotional analysis, data management, project support, and additional analysis as required.
Accountabilities:
Support financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for Community Impact
Mange financial subsidy programs that support developing supply of units for homeownership
Support fundraising activities by providing budgets, proformas and projections for potential investors

Accountabilities:
Support financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for Community Impact
- Develop financial forecasts for budgets, annual operating plans and fundraising
- Prepare and analyze modeling assumptions, cash flow actuals, financial statement actuals, and additional analysis as needed
- Maintain and enhance data validity checks; research and resolve data issues
- Financial reporting to Management and the Board of Directors
- Provide information and reports as needed to support annual audit
- Additional tasks as needed
Mange financial subsidy programs that support developing supply of units for homeownership
- Support loans and grant programs for developers building or renovating units for homeownership
- Collaborate effectively with CDFIs, developers, nonprofits, government partners, and others that we work with to increase supply of homes
- Monitor public and private investments, grants, and related opportunities to be leveraged along with investment to increase creation of homeownership opportunities
Support fundraising activities by providing budgets, proformas and projections for potential investors
- Develop the required reports, budgets, presentations or financial analysis to support fundraising activities
- Develop and manage a list or database of fundraising strategies, sources, and opportunities to pursue or leverage
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, economics, statistics or related academic discipline, or 4 years of directly related experience required
- In addition, a minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance or real estate-related position
- Critical thinking, strong analytical, interpersonal and communications skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office (at an intermediate level, specifically Excel)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong math aptitude and analytical skills
- Demonstrates alignment with ESL's Core Values, mission, vision, and purpose to help our community thrive and prosper
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate
- Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Finance
- Experience in real estate, cash management and/or financial analysis
- Understanding of community development and affordable housing
- Familiarity with existing programs, relevant regulations, and compliance requirements
- Nonprofit financial management
- Self-directed and self-motivated; must be able to address complex tasks with minimal guidance
- Familiarity with the greater Rochester community and real estate market
