This position reports to

PSWG Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Adapts and implements sales support strategy using specific technical capability for the designated area in line with the global support strategy and focuses on supporting configuration and quotation requirements. Oversees estimations, bids, and proposals, ensuring alignment with ABB standards and targets. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES • Formulates competitive bids, estimates, and quotations by considering the best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial aspects for each situation. • Ensures tenders are well-documented in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs. • Leads and manages the planning and preparation of technical, financial, and, if required, project management aspects of the bid, estimate, and quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions. • Ensures that inputs for editing activities related to bid, estimate, and quotation preparation are provided in a timely manner and in accordance with the established quality procedures. • Leads external services, such as translations and governmental approvals, to support bid and estimation preparation. • Manages the collection and archival of documentation regarding the offer/order and recording of assumptions and decisions made during development. • Ensures the status of the bids, estimates, and quotations are reported regularly using defined tools and reasons for both lost and won tenders are collected and analyzed. • Identifies potential risks in the bids, quotations, estimates, and related contract agreements across customers/channels and takes appropriate action. • Provides information and/or participates in the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy. • Ensures the information required to prepare the proposal, including both technical and cost elements, is collected and collated in a timely manner and in accordance with the established quality procedures. • Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to gain a deep understanding of customer needs and ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process. • Ensures technical support is provided to Sales Managers during technical meetings with customers. LICENSE TO OPERATE / CORE VALUES • Ensures all staff (under scope) understand ABB's core values and group safety and integrity standards and act accordingly. • Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area. • Ensures adherence to all internal and statutory regulations and policies pertaining to the teams in scope. • Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities across all teams in scope. • Accountable for the health and safety of all employees and contractors for the teams in scope, and continuous improvement in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) processes and integrity performance. COLLABORATION / LEADERSHIP • Leads, develops, and coaches the Sales Support team. • Ensures technical and commercial support and collaborates with internal and external.

Qualifications for the role

  • Education Background
  • Bachelor or above in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, etc.
  • Working Experience
  • Sales support or other related fields.
  • Position Knowledge/Skills
  • Possess good communication and problem solving skills.
  • Communication/coordination skills cross function/departments in both Chinese and English
  • Personality
  • Strong Leadership capability. Ability to motive and develop people
  • Result-orientated and very responsible
  • Strong ability to solve conflicts.
