The finance department in the Power Solutions segment is primarily located in Tranby. This department is responsible for delivering first class financial support including cost estimation for the segment, which consists of Hydropower, Benestad, Power & Controls Solutions and Tranby manufacturing. The team is working closely with the business to deliver valuable financial insight and finance as well as estimation expertise to make the best possible business decisions on a day-to-day basis. We are a social and collaborative team, working in a supportive environment as we tackle diverse and exciting challenges every day.

At Aker Solutions Hydropower, we specialize in developing, manufacturing, and delivering hydropower turbines, regulation/control systems, and related equipment to customers and projects worldwide. We supply equipment for new installations and upgrade existing hydropower plants both in the Nordic region and internationally.

What will you be doing?

As a Cost Estimator, you will play a key role in the tendering process for hydropower projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and executing the cost estimation process for hydropower and Power Solutions tenders
• Supporting the Tender Manager in delivering high-quality, cost-effective proposals that meet our client's expectations
• Assisting in the implementation of pricing strategies and financial targets
• Proactively identifying opportunities to reduce tender costs and improve margins and quality
• Supporting the preparation of internal management presentations and financial reports
• Ensuring smooth financial handover to the project execution team following contract award
• Contributing to the development of benchmarking data and cost databases, using both internal history and market insights
• Assisting with various ad hoc tasks within the Power Solutions finance team

We think you should have:

We believe you are proactive, curious, and motivated to become an important team player within our finance and tender organization. To succeed in this role, you should have:

• 1-3 years of relevant experience from hydropower projects or tendering (preferred)
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, finance, or engineering
• A solid understanding of cost estimation and the tendering process (project cost, time, scope, and risk elements)
• Experience and interest in contract management and project execution
• Strong communication and presentation skills - fluent in both written and spoken Norwegian
• A structured, analytical mindset with the ability to deliver under tight deadlines
