We are seeking an experienced Project Planner who will play a critical role in driving the performance and delivery of large‑scale wind farm projects. This role is far more than P6 operation. You will be a core member of various project teams, challenge assumptions, and ensure the schedule becomes the central tool for project control.
You will work on projects in both the tender phase, and delivery phase, and play an important part in developing the robust portfolio that Vestas Australia and New Zealand is currently building.

We are seeking an experienced Project Planner who will play a critical role in driving the performance and delivery of large‑scale wind farm projects. This role is far more than P6 operation. You will be a core member of various project teams, challenge assumptions, and ensure the schedule becomes the central tool for project control.
You will work on projects in both the tender phase, and delivery phase, and play an important part in developing the robust portfolio that Vestas Australia and New Zealand is currently building.
Customer Project Execution - APAC > Customer Project Execution > Project Planning AUNZ
Responsibilities:
- Create and own the project schedule from development to delivery, ensuring it is realistic, logic‑driven and commercially competitive
- Maintain an integrated EPC project schedule covering design, procurement, BOP civil & electrical works, transport, installation, commissioning and grid compliance.
- Analyse actual progress, productivity and sequencing and recommend recovery plans or resequencing when required.
- Support on commercial aspects of the project including extension of time modelling, critical path and delay analysis
- Monitor subcontractor programs and test their logic and assumptions
- Provide clear schedule reports, with reference to KPIs and critical‑path, to support project leadership and decision‑making
Qualifications
We are looking for a person with qualifications and experience that align with the below. We are open to receiving applications from candidates who do not meet all the criteria below.
- Hands‑on experience planning complex construction or energy projects
- Strong Primavera P6 capability and the ability to interpret, explain and communicate construction logic to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience conducting risk analysis, float management, critical‑path interrogation and time impact analysis
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Construction, Building, Architecture or Project Management
- Knowledge of PMI and AACE scheduling practices
Competencies:
- Experience in Master Schedule management
- Advanced user of Primavera P6
- Excellent usage of critical path method and delay analysis
- Ability to challenge assumptions and influence engineers, site teams and subcontractors
- Experience in S-Curve Reporting, first principles program development, time chainage and resource loading
- Understanding of contracts, risk and finance
