Marketing & Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

As Market development specialist for AC Chargers, you will be responsible for driving marketing and sales activities for the AC Chargers portfolio, applications, and solutions within the ELSB division. Covering your assigned geographical markets, The United Kingdom, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Scandinavia. Your mission is to empower local sales units to significantly enhance their performance in terms of sales, margins, market share, and customer satisfaction within targeted segments. You will develop and execute a market-driven strategy that spans direct sales, third-party channels, and project-based opportunities. In this role, you will foster collaboration across ccommercial teams and regions, actively leveraging multi-channel and cross-segment engagement to maximize impact and profitable growth. In addition, you will lead proactive business development efforts in markets requiring extra strategic focus. By providing expert support on products, applications, solutions, and customer segments, you will contribute to profitable growth and ensure sustainable execution of the division's strategic roadmap. You will be mainly accountable for: • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, value propositions, and business plans in alignment with global marketing objectives. • Drive profitable growth by identifying market opportunities, targeting key customer segments, and overseeing execution across channels and regions. • Lead the development and implementation of annual marketing plans, product launches, and customer engagement activities. • Foster strong collaboration between Sales, Marketing, Product Groups, and regional teams to ensure operational efficiency and strategic alignment. • Monitor and improve performance metrics such as order intake, margin, pricing, customer satisfaction (NPS), and on-time delivery. • Ensure product demand generation through technical solution selling and a value-based approach. • Promote a culture of compliance, safety, and ethical conduct in line with ABB's core values. • Engage directly with customers to understand needs, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement in satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Proven experience in portfolio management and optimizing product offerings to align with market demands.
  • Strong ability to develop and execute business strategies that drive growth and competitive advantage in different countries and/or regions.
  • Skilled in gathering and interpreting market intelligence to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Expertise in building and deploying effective go-to-market strategies across multiple channels and customer segments.
  • Committed to delivering exceptional customer experience and driving long-term client success.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory and legal compliance requirements within the energy or technology sector.
  • Demonstrated success in pricing excellence, balancing competitiveness with profitability.
  • Experience in managing budgets and performance targets, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
  • Proficient in content management systems and delivering impactful product and brand messaging.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tactics and tools to increase engagement and conversion.
  • Ability to plan and support marketing campaigns across various channels, from strategy to execution.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong foundation in marketing strategy development and implementation.
  • Experience with platform management, including digital tools and customer engagement solutions.
