Emerson is looking for a Digital Sales Representative for our office in Cluj (Romania). In this position, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by developing, supporting, and performing initiatives aimed at achieving the company's objectives through desk-based sales assistance to the sales team. This position involves providing comprehensive support to the sales team across Europe, with the primary aim of growing the product line within the organization. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the events and marketing teams to promote new sales programs and product innovations. Additionally, you will be tasked with supporting competitive displacement strategies, using installed base tools, and diligently following up on active opportunities to improve revenue from existing customers. As a direct sales role, success hinges on efficiently growing and engaging with the entire portfolio.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Support our alternative distribution channels (ADC) in growing the business across the ADC network
  • Pro-active sales follow-up of quotations with the goal of winning the order and see this process through to conclusion of won/lost order
  • Develop strategic growth programs to support future business growth and actively collaborate with internal and external sales teams to increase the business volumes
  • Negotiate sales orders within agreed delegation of authority; Contact dormant accounts to re-engage/reactivate the relationship and explore opportunities
  • Verify that purchase orders are in accordance with the offered financial and technical proposal and resolve any technical-related/commercial issues that occur during the order cycle
  • Identify training needs and define training program for Field Communicator customers; Ensure compliance with legal and Company requirements with regards to Trade Compliance

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills
  • 2+ years of experience, preferably in commercial and sales support activities or in the process automation field for various industries
  • Showcase strong communication skills within a matrix organization
  • Digital literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications


Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Ability to communicate at both technical and commercial level to resolve customer issues
  • Proficiency in a Nordic language, both written and verbal, or in a European language
  • Experience of developing successful cross functional relationships internally, within a matrix organization
