About the Role

We are seeking a Smart Factory Leader to lead the digitization of our flexible pipe manufacturing operations. This pivotal role is responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive digital strategy for pipeline production, leveraging lessons learned from past systems and initiatives to drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams of engineers and technicians to ensuring the review and execution of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implement Industry 4.0 solutions, such as IoT-enabled equipment, data, analytics, and automation, that enhance production efficiency and quality. As a champion of innovation, the Smart Factory Manager will foster a culture of continuous improvement and emerging technology adoption, ensuring our manufacturing facility remains at the forefront of operational excellence in the Industry 4.0 era.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and Execute Digital Strategy - Develop and lead the execution of a digital transformation roadmap for pipeline production, aligned with operational and business goals.
  • Implement Industry 4.0 Technologies - Drive the deployment of smart manufacturing solutions, including IoT, automation, digital twins, and advanced analytics.
  • Integrate Systems and Data Platforms - Oversee the integration of MES, ERP, and manufacturing data systems to enable real-time decision-making and production visibility.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration - Coordinate engineering, IT/OT, and production teams to deliver cohesive and effective digital solutions on the shop floor.
  • Optimize Production Efficiency - Identify improvement opportunities through data analysis and implement technologies to reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency.
  • Foster Innovation and Continuous Improvement - Encourage a culture of innovation by promoting the adoption of emerging technologies and supporting ongoing learning across teams.
  • Manage Projects and Change - Lead digital projects from concept to execution, ensuring stakeholder alignment, effective change management, and user training.
  • Ensure Compliance and Governance - Maintain adherence to industry standards in quality, safety, and cybersecurity, and establish governance for digital systems and data use.


Qualifications

  • Educational Background - Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or Computer Science is required; a Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering Management, Data Science, or MBA) is considered an advantage.
  • Professional Experience - Minimum of 7 years in manufacturing, industrial automation, or engineering, including at least 3 years in digital transformation or Industry 4.0 projects.
  • Technical Knowledge - Hands-on experience with MES/ERP integration, industrial data platforms, and cybersecurity standards applicable to manufacturing environments.
  • Project and Team Leadership - Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex technical projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Manufacturing Systems Insight - Solid understanding of production workflows, factory operations, and process optimization through digital technologies.
  • Language Skills - Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required; knowledge of Danish is considered an asset.
