Wood is recruiting for a HVAC Engineer to join its Iraq business unit focusing on diagnosing, inspecting, and resolving HVAC faults for a Major Onshore Brownfield Project in Basra, Iraq on 5/2 work schedule.

This role is a full-time on-site role in Basra, Iraq with travel requirement.

Job Objectives

The HVAC Engineer is responsible for diagnosing, inspecting, and resolving HVAC faults across the BNGL Operating Unit. The role focuses on sustaining and improving HVAC maintenance, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions. Engineers also provide oversight and reporting using company systems.

Position Specific:
  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance (CM & PM)
  • Monitor and inspect HVAC systems regularly
  • Source spare parts and support installed systems
  • Work 7 days/week, 10 hours/day (07:00-17:00)
  • Follow a rotational pattern (min. 7/7, max. 28/28)

QUALIFICATIONS

Expected:
  • 5+ years in HVAC engineering, preferably in oil & gas
  • Accredited engineering qualification in HVAC or related field
  • Experience with PLC logic controllers, HMI, and traditional control systems
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning and execution
  • Experience in sour service/H₂S environments (preferred)
