Job Title: Aggregate Operations Manager
Work Schedule: Day shift, flexible hours. Overtime as required.
Full or Part Time: Full time only
Reports to: VP Operations
Salary: $90,000 - $140,000
Potential Bonus:
Responsible for the overall management of two Sand and Gravel operations capable of producing 1.5 million tons per year and Crushed Recycled Products production approximately 150k tons annually. The business group is located across Northern Colorado in the Erie/Platteville/Greeley area but is looking to continue to grow volume. Reporting to VP Operations for Raptor.
Responsibilities for Agg Operations Manager
• Lead the team to work injury free in a behavior-based safety process.
• With the VP Ops, develop and implement priorities aligned with rapidly evolving business requirements and integrate into a high-performance, but cost-efficient infrastructure.
• Design, implement and maintain an effective, efficient organizational structure to successfully support current and future business strategies.
• Produce safety at the Agg locations and control costs to manufacture quality products for our customers.
• Experience in permitting and opening sand and gravel operations is a plus.
• Project management skills and experience are a plus for setting up new plants.
• Participate in and contribute to the evaluation and development of operational strategy and performance in co-operation with senior management.
• Implement and help to improve company operational procedures, policies, and standards.
• Review activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.
• Responsible for annual budgets and operating metrics
• Participate in mentoring of new management employees.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations/permits and Group guidelines in area of responsibility.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in Aggregate operations
• Results & delivery focused
• Experience in permitting and/or opening new sand and gravel operations a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members building a safe, transparent, respectful, open environment.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office products, ERP systems
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Good financial acumen.
• Experience with digitalization and sustainability practices within the construction materials industry
• Strong track record of accomplishments within the areas of safety & health, employee development, change management, and team leadership.
Education
• Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or relevant discipline preferred.
