Wood is recruiting for a Graduate Quality Engineer (UAE Nationals) to join its UAE business unit focusing on both Greenfield and Brownfield modification projects and integrating low-carbon solutions to support our client's energy transition and emissions reduction goals.
This role is a full-time on-site role in Sharjah, UAE on 5/2 work schedule with travel requirement.

This is an exciting opportunity for Graduate Quality Engineers to join our UAE Business Unit.

Wood has been awarded a general engineering contract to support an International Client operator to deliver a portfolio of onshore capital projects by provision of engineering and project management services (including EPC contract management), as well as Supply Chain, Construction and Commissioning support from Wood Iraq and UAE offices.
Projects include both Greenfield and Brownfield modification projects and integrating low-carbon solutions to support our client's energy transition and emissions reduction goals.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Provide support as directed by quality professionals in the successful implementation of quality strategies, plans, objectives, and deliverables
- Support the continued communication, development, and improvement of our Business Management System (BMS)
- Support in the communication, development, and improvement of other supporting systems such as Non-Conformance or customer satisfaction systems undertaking simple data analysis, guided by quality professionals
- Support planned assurance activities through planning, execution, and reporting phases. This may include external assurance (e.g. suppliers and subcontractors)
- Support quality professionals in the production of quality deliverables in support of an overall project or programme implementation
- Engage delivery and supporting functions to increase awareness of interfaces, working practices

Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in mechanical engineering
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- This is an entry level role, degree qualified incumbents will typically have less than two years experience.
- Graduate level understanding of Engineering practices, design methods and calculations
- Knowledge of trends and economic conditions affecting the technical field
- Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to their discipline of engineering
- Demonstrates the application of theory in a practical context
- Graduate level of competence in the application of standards, processes and procedures and how they are used in work execution
- Graduate level of knowledge of regulatory framework and associated legislation
- Graduate level of competence in own discipline in the execution of assigned tasks
- Graduate level of knowledge of industry and technology development within discipline area
- Ability to comprehend, interpret and prepare applicable technical information and suggest design changes to ensure functional and cost-effective results
- Demonstrates awareness of policies and procedures that affect specific job assignments
