About the Role:
As a Field Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing project documentation and ensuring compliance with our document control procedures and standards. Your organizational skills will be vital as you work to maintain accurate and accessible records for a dynamic project environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain document control procedures and standards that meet project requirements and adhere to industry best practices.
- Organize and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, construction and engineers to guarantee timely and accurate documentation delivery.
- Track document revisions and updates to ensure accurate version control and distribution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate document reviews and approvals with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure timely progress.
- Manage document databases and repositories, facilitating document storage, retrieval, and archiving processes.
- Generate reports and metrics to monitor document control activities and performance efficiently.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or related field
- Proven experience as a Document Controller or Records Manager in the construction or engineering industry
- Working knowledge of document control principles, procedures, and standards.
- Proficiency in document management software and tools (e.g., SharePoint or Documentum)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Be local to Edmonton Area or can self-accommodate
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Hold a valid drives licence
- Know this is a full-time contract on site role, 48 hours per week
