Riverview RCC Project Safety Support Role

Overview

We are seeking a qualified, competent, and effective site safety manager for our Riverview RCC Project. The selected individual will be responsible for inspecting, coaching, and documenting concerns and coaching moments to assist in achieving safety goals for the project. They will manage safety practices relevant to daily tasks performed by crews under their supervision and collaborate closely with Project Management and the General Contractor to achieve these objectives.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified and Competent Personnel: Vendors must ensure that the site safety manager is appropriately qualified and competent for the project.
  • On-Site Safety Management: The manager will identify areas for improvement or concern and recommend ways to enhance safety awareness and standards.
  • Daily Safety Meetings: Conduct daily safety meetings with project personnel to reinforce safety practices. Meetings will be held prior to any work being conducted.
  • Safety Observations: Submit at least one 300&3 safety observation per day.
  • Vendor Escort Support: Assist in escorting vendors to and from site entrance to their work locations.
  • Weekly Team Meetings: Attend weekly project team meetings to align safety goals with broader project objectives.
  • Documentation and Communication: Provide supporting documentation for project tasks and liaise with site safety representatives as needed.
  • Daily Activity Oversight: Be present during daily work activities and offer additional safety support if increased oversight is required.

Estimated Hours

The hours required for the project are distributed across several months, with additional support potentially needed for tasks spread across different areas of the facility. The estimated breakdown of hours is as follows:
  • June: 20 hours
  • July - December: 160 hours per month
  • Total Hours: 980 hours

Areas of Work

The project will encompass several areas of work, each involving specific tasks to ensure the safety and operational efficiency of the facility:
  1. Library Building: Main area of work includes building demolition, remodel, new roof, and electrical and network upgrades; Installation of a permanent generator with supporting electrical hardware outside the building.
  2. IDF Building: Installation of a new manual transfer switch (MTS).
  3. Mirror Bits Installation Support: Support for E-Stops in Control, involving terminations and fiber runs.
  4. Electrical Feeder Line: Installation of a new electrical feeder line.
  5. Camera Installation: Installation of 39 operational cameras across various sites within the plant.
