JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate piping welding operations, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Oversee the fabrication, installation, and welding of carbon steel, stainless steel, and exotic alloy piping systems.
• Ensure weld quality meets company-specific welding procedures.
• Conduct visual inspections and coordinate with quality control teams for NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) as required.
• Monitor welding parameters, consumables, and techniques to maintain high-quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to workplace safety procedures, risk assessments, and PPE requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to welders, ensuring skill development and performance improvement.
• Work closely with project supervisor, welding supervisor , welding engineers, and other departments to maintain schedules and meet deadlines.
• Troubleshoot welding defects, recommend corrective actions, and maintain accurate documentation of welding activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in piping welding, including foreman roles.
• Strong expertise in GTAW (TIG),GMAW, SAW and SMAW (Stick) welding processes.
• Hands-on experience with various piping materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and high-alloy steels.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality assurance.
• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Welding certifications (ASME/AWS) are a plus.
• Experience in offshore, oil & gas, or heavy industrial projects is highly desirable
• Read and interpret piping isometric drawings, welding procedures, and engineering specifications.
