In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will:
- Issue Purchase Orders and follow up with approval compliance process, Open Purchase Order reports communication to suppliers in support of material expediting and inventory control.
- Manage Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) exceptions to avoid obsolete material and guarantee the correct material delivery and inventory control.
- Ensure Material Availability with correct timing to support site production.
- Ensure Inventory stock levels availability; support Operation initiatives in view of end to end supply chain optimisation.
- Define, in agreement with the relevant Sourcing Project Leader, the correct replenishment strategy for the different materials/suppliers.
- Periodical Review of Replenishment strategy (MRP) to keep it always up to date.
- Collaborate with site associates and engage with vendors to coordinate production and shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
- Communicate any quality issues timely to the supplier and look for resolution along with supplier and internal Quality.
- Ensure Vendor and Material Master data update for process approval.
- Liaise with finance and accounts payable to resolve invoicing and stock issues as required.
- Work with remote (CoE) buyers to expedite materials not to miss any production requirements/deadlines.
- Support Sourcing Project Leaders in deploying Category Strategy
- Support Lean material flow initiatives.
- Support negotiation for Non-Strategic and Indirect material and project business within Delegation of Authority (DOA)
- Material availability on time to meet plant production plan and customer request.
- Supplier RDSL (Requested Delivery Service Level) Performance
- Develop automatic method of replenishment strategy, to optimise the material flow
- Excess and Obsolete reduction, through detailed Materials requirement planning (MRP) exception management
- Back up production / service planning as required by business (eg leave cover, tide over excess workload)

- Tertiary qualifications or similar experience in buying and planning
- Experience in using SAP
